Who we are
This website, https://cascadewood.com, is operated by Cascade Wood Products, Inc. (“Cascade,” “we,” “us”), a millwork manufacturer based in White City, Oregon, with a facility in Conneaut, Ohio. This policy explains what information we collect through the website and how we use it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address, which is stored with our email service provider, Mailchimp. If you call, write to, or otherwise contact us, or apply for a job with us, we receive whatever information you choose to send.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider record technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure, fix problems, and understand how the site is used (see Analytics below).
How we use information
We use your information to send the newsletter you requested, respond to your inquiries, review job applications, operate and secure the website, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived at the site, and the pages you view. We use this information only to measure and improve the site. Google’s use of the data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Cookies
The website uses cookies needed to operate and secure the site, and cookies from Google Analytics (described above) that help us measure site traffic. Content from other companies that appears on the site may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Embedded content and third-party sites
Our location pages include Google Maps. When you load a page with a map, Google may collect information such as your IP address and set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). The website also links to our Facebook page and to our sister sites, turncraft.com and sweed.com. Once you leave cascadewood.com, the privacy practices of the other site apply.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website: our web host, Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp, which sends our newsletter and may record whether emails are opened and links clicked; see https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/), and Google (Analytics). We share only what is needed for those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
How long we keep information
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a limited time. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You may also contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to ask that we correct or delete it. We will respond as required by applicable law, and some information may need to be kept for legal or security reasons.
Children
This website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
